A practical guide to garage clearance in Surrey — what we take, how we price it, and what to do before the team arrives.
A garage clearance is one of our most common jobs. Spring is when most people finally deal with the pile that’s been building since last summer. Here’s what to expect.
What we take
Most things you’d find in a typical Surrey garage:
- Old tools, broken power equipment, hand tools you’ll never use
- Bikes, ladders, sports gear
- Furniture stored and forgotten
- Garden equipment, hosepipes, plant pots
- Leftover builders’ materials — rubble, timber offcuts, bags of sand
- Cardboard, general clutter, bagged-up rubbish
- White goods and old appliances
- Old sheds or outbuildings if they need to come down first
What needs special handling
Two things we can’t take in the tipper:
- Asbestos — common in older garage roofs and flat-roof extensions. If you think you might have it, don’t disturb it; let us know before we arrive and we’ll help you work out next steps.
- Hazardous waste — solvents, motor oil, weedkillers, and anything else that’s chemically unpleasant.

What to do before we arrive
Not much. A rough “keep this / clear that” sort helps, but we’re used to working alongside whatever’s still there. Move anything you want to keep to one side and let us know when we arrive.
How pricing works
By the load, not by the item:
- Quarter load — from £189. A lighter garage — shelves cleared, a few bags and smaller items.
- Half load — from £329. A typical single garage with tools, furniture, and garden gear mixed in.
- Full load — from £449. A packed garage, a double garage, or a garage plus shed combined.
Tell us roughly what’s there when you book — we’ll confirm the right load size and there’ll be no surprise at the end.
